Art Classes For Kids is a year-round, after-school visual arts program and runs in trimesters. Parents may register their 6-13 year olds in one, two or three trimesters throughout the school year.

The fall 2010 session at the SCA Community Centre will run for 12 weeks every Tuesday from 4:30–6pm starting September 7 through November 23. Register early to secure a spot for your child. The art classes are divided into age groups with a maximum of 16 students per session.

The theme for the fall 2010 session is The Orient and we will be covering unique animals of the Orient, various land and seascapes, people and culture. Oriental style brush painting in inks and watercolours will be included in this session as well as pencil, pencil crayons, oil & chalk pastels, charcoal, conté, felt pens, tempera and watercolour paint techniques.

Payment for each trimester may be made in one, two or three post-dated cheques to LBM Services, 13 Riverside Circle SE Calgary, AB T2C 3X9. All supplies are student quality and toxin free and are included. The fee for 12 classes is $240 ($20 per class) per child.

The winter 2011 trimester starts Tuesday January 11, for 12 weeks. Registration will begin the first week of November with the theme TBA in the fall.
