Karate Club

The Karate Club offers classes at the community centre for all age groups. The club is a member of The National Karate Association, the official governing body of Karate, with member clubs across Canada. I am pleased to offer the following classes:

Children’s Beginner Karate (7–12 yrs)

Wed., Sept 22–Dec 15, 6:30–7:30pm

An Introduction to Karate, emphasizing basic training, etiquette, discipline, and physical conditioning. This class will help determine if the student is prepared to pursue training to a higher level.

Karate Kids(5–6 yrs)

Wed., Sept 22–Dec 8, 5:30–6:00pm

The class will be an Introduction to Karate for the younger children, emphasizing basic training, etiquette, discipline, and physical conditioning. It is a fun class designed to meet the needs of this age group.

Adult Beginner Karate (13 yrs+)

Mon., Sept 27–Dec 13, 6:30–8:00 pm

This is a beginner class for adults to introduce participants to basic blocking, punching, kicking, and the kata (means forms) of the art of karate. It’s also a great way to get in shape and meet new people in the community. (No class Oct 18.)

In all classes, modern method of exercise, training and coaching are encouraged through commitment to the goals of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), ensuring a safe environment for training.
