Thank you for considering the SCA  for your upcoming function. We are proud of our newly renovated, air-conditioned facility and feel it is one of the nicest options in Calgary, whether for large events for 250-300 people or smaller meetings for 20.

Here are some of our features:

A) Flat rates – no hidden charges, no corkage fees etc.

B) Round tables (72″ diameter, seat 10 people) and rectangular tables are available.  You are responsible for setting up tables & chairs – but you do NOT need to put them away, our caretaking staff will do this.

C) Small audio system and microphone available;  large screen from ceiling for use with your own video equipment.

D) Weddings and large events can set up the space as you see fit (no pins on walls, no candles, no helium balloons, and no confetti-rice-flower petals).

E) A fabulous loft ideal for the wedding ceremony – then go downstairs for the party!

F) You choose the caterer you want – no restrictions or recommendations from us.

G) Commercial kitchen facilities.  Caterers are to leave the kitchen clean.

Main Hall

Capacity: 300 people (tight), 200-250 with dance floor

Friday: Rental rate:  $750.00 + GST for the Main Hall only.  If you wish to rent the whole community center (to guarantee exclusivity) $1200.00 plus GST.

Non-refundable deposit:  $300.00 to hold booking. Available after 4:00 pm.

Saturday – Weddings / Large Events Rental rate:  $2,250 + gst

Non-refundable deposit: $600.00 to hold booking.

Rental includes kitchen, loft, lounge and main hall all day Saturday until 2:30 am Sunday. The damage deposit ($500)and final payment are due two weeks prior to the event and at that time arrangements will be made for key pick-up.

If you require the hall on Friday night for set-up (and it is available) there is a discounted charge of $250.00 + GST. Access will be after 4:00 pm on Friday.

Week Days

The main hall is not often available mid-week due to regular activities booked in the hall.  Please call the Community Centre office at 403-249-1138 to enquire.

Sundays

2:00 – 5:00 pm  $300 + GST  

2:00 – midnight  $650 + GST – NR deposit $300

6:00 – midnight  $550 + GST – NR deposit $250

*All main hall bookings require a refundable damage deposit of $500.

Founders Room • (main floor)

Rental rate:  $45.00 + GST per hour – Minimum 2 hour rental (up until 4pm)

Full day rate: ie 9:00 am – 5:00 pm $200.00 + GST

Evening rate: ie 4:00 pm-10:00 pm $175.00 + GST

Capacity:  60 people theatre style or 30 – 40 at tables.

Rectangular room, oak fireplace, windows running length of east face providing spectacular city view, easy access to kitchen.  Ideal for meetings, business presentations and social gatherings such as anniversaries, birthday parties etc.

Loft • (upstairs)

Rental rate:  $50.00 + GST per hour – (up until 4pm, min 2 hr rental)

Full day rate:  9:00 am – 5:00 pm $275.00 + GST

Evening rate:  6:00 pm-10:00 pm $200 + GST

Sunday 2:00 – midnight  $350.00 + GST

Capacity:  150 people theatre style or 90 – 100 at tables

Large carpeted room with cathedral ceiling, cathedral type windows overlooking the city, sliding glass doors to balcony overlooking hall. Ideal for wedding ceremonies, larger social functions etc. Have your wedding ceremony here, and then slip downstairs for the reception!

South Room & North Room • (upstairs)

Rental rate:  $35.00 + GST per hour.

Capacity:  15 – 20 maximum, small meeting room.

Rectangular room, large cathedral window, ideal for smaller functions.
