Tweens and Teens often experience large amounts of stress due to school, social pressure, family dynamics, work, hormones, body image issues and so much more. Skills gained through the practice of yoga in a supportive environment fosters skills of self resilience and self-discovery. I support this journey by connecting to their inner strength, becoming comfortable in their body and honing their intellectual abilities in a fun and enthusiastic class setting.

Empower young adults to discover themselves from the inside out, by encouraging them to slow down and power down to spend time in conversation and on their mat. This supports increased strength and flexibility and therefore these developing humans learn to nurture themselves through positive practices and relaxation. This sets the stage to develop mindful health and wellness practices that last a lifetime. This training addresses how yoga and mindfulness skills advance the physical, mental, social and emotional development of tweens and teenagers. We will also look at how to create community and what it means to pay it forward and seek opportunities to be great embassadors of kindness in our own community.

Class structure will include:

  • Icebreaker activities
  • Yoga practice
  • Meditation introduction – singing bowls, nature therapy, guided and music meditation
  • Journaling
  • Karma practices and community ‘pay it forward’ planning
