Pillar Repairs Needed East Side of the Community Association

We are writing to inform you of an important maintenance issue that requires immediate attention.

An outdoor pillar located at the back of the building (East Side) has been identified as a potential hazard and requires immediate bracing & repairs. This pillar is crucial to the overall safety and structural integrity of our building. We want to assure you that we are taking all necessary steps to address this matter promptly and minimize disruptions to programs.

During the remediation process which is set to take place over the month of September, you will notice some activity in the vicinity of the pillar(s) (Outlined in photos below) – this may impact programs and access into the facility. We ask you to please be cautious when moving around the area; or if possible, avoid the East side of the building while work is being completed, and kindly follow any safety signs posted in the area to avoid any personal injuries.

The SCA Community Association is working with the City of Calgary and engineering firms to remedy the issue and timelines for the completion of the work will be communicated as they become available.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain the integrity and safety of our building.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the SCA Community Association office by phone at (403) 249-1148, or by email at info@scacalgary.ca.

Thank you for your cooperation.
