Ward 6, it’s time to put your questions to the candidates vying to represent us for the next four years! Jointly hosted by three neighbouring community associations, Strathcona Christie Aspen Community Association, West Springs/Cougar Ridge Community Association and the Coach Hill / Patterson Heights, this friendly debate with a yummy twist!
Many family debates take place at the kitchen table, and in that spirit, we’re putting our candidates’ culinary skills to the test! Each candidate is invited to bring waffles, homemade or purchased in Ward 6, that we get to sample and vote on in a blind taste test! We’ll see if your tastebuds match your political tastes and maybe you will cast a vote for someone you would never have imagined voting for! The candidate whose waffles receive the most votes is declared the waffle winner and gets bragging rights until the election But it’s not all just fun and waffles. We are also looking forward to an honest, in-depth discussion about the issues that are most important to residents of Ward 6. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of all the candidates*.
Food is a powerful tool for helping bring families and communities together, so let’s meet at the table and learn more about the people behind the issues in this municipal election.
