- Understand the importance of staying private while on the internet
- Consider the dangers but also the benefits of the internet
- Identify dangerous situations and how to handle them
- Explore ways to stay private and stay safe while surfing or gaming
- Practice various scenarios that may take place on the internet and discuss ways to handle them such as invitations to meet in person, inappropriate behaviour, cyber-bullying etc.

A: Yes, this class teaches kids how to stay private and stay safe. The earlier they learn to stay safe while surfing the web, the better.

Children Will (course objectives):
- Understand responsibilities of being home alone
- Consider safe choices for all appliances; microwaves, stove, oven, toasters etc.
- Identify hazards within the home and appropriate injury prevention steps
- Explore right and responsibilities while home alone; chores, appliance usage, coming to and from home alone, answering doors and telephones, handling floods etc.
- Practice first aid treatments and prevention of injuries such as burns and cuts
