2 Gals in a Garden – Succulent Easter Bonnet

One of the ways to use succulents is as a garden topiary and what could more appropriate than a Easter Bonnet to celebrate the arrival for Spring!

This workshop will cover:

• The different succulents readily available and what they need to thrive;
• Learn: how to create a topiary with moss to create the planting foundation and be a moisture reservoir; planting techniques; and tips for caring for it through the season and over winter so it is as fresh in 2022 as it is this year;
• Then have the fun of creating your own ‘Bonnet’ and decorating it for Spring!

Priced affordably at $80 per person with all supplies and equipment provided. You create a great looking outside topiary bonnet, gain a lot of knowledge and practical know-how; have the satisfaction of contributing to the fundraising efforts of the SCA while having a lot of fun and meeting new friends!

Pandemic Arrangements – This workshop has been posted as in-person because we are feeling optimistic (after all Spring is coming!), but it may be required to be entirely online if Health Orders so require. It may also be a hybrid, with both in-person and online participants, using a webinar platform. Rest assured we will make it work for everyone’s comfort level and in full compliance with existing Health Orders in force at the end of March!

If in person: All supplies will be on your table when you arrive, and request that you bring an apron and bypass pruners/snips with you. Masks will need to be worn throughout the workshop.

If online: All supplies to make your bonnet are provided and will be delivered to your homes the day before. Login information for the workshop will come the morning of the workshop. Please have sharp bypass pruners/snips handy and wear an apron if desired, and it is recommended you cover your working space with plastic to avoid making too much of a mess! Plus of course bring your enthusiasm!

Refunds: Due to the amount of supplies being sourced and assembled for this workshop refunds will not be available, unless of course for reasons of illness.
